Ban on High Capacity Weapons

High capacity magazines are magazines having specified capacity. It is a kind of pistol having high capacity than that of the standard capacity of a pistol. As per ‘The Federal Assault Weapons Ban’ which came into existence in 1994-2004 explained that high capacity magazines are having more than ten rounds if removable and five rounds fixed.

In 1994 domestic gun manufacturers were banned from producing semi automatic weapons having more than ten rounds. Such weapons were not allowed to be used by police and military. Import of such high capacity weapon is already banned but you can still find them in the grey market. They were the grand father of all the weapons existed in the market.

The copies of such weapons or duplicates of such ten round weapons are also banned. But banning the duplicates of such weapon is very difficult and the govt. failed to ban the duplicates. Some of the clever manufacturer has tried to alter the weapon by bringing a little change in the assaulted weapons so that they can show off that they are following the rules and regulations of the government. There are many cases in which the people have misused such weapons so govt. of different countries has banned the use of such weapons.
